Private lessons for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. This 1 on 1 has proven to be the best method to allow the instructor to tailor lessons to individual learning rates and needs.
Beginner Lessons
Kite Control Introduction / Lesson 1
We begin lessons on land with (the same type of kite you'll use in the water). You will learn to setup the kite and will practice flying in and out of the power-zone, launching and landing, etc. Further kite control mastery will be applied in Lesson 2. Time 2 hours.
Body Drag Kite Control / Lesson 2
With the skills learned in the first lesson, you're ready to maneuver through the power-zone while in the water (dragging). You'll practice body dragging, re-launching the kite from the water, land and self-rescue/self-landing. This is the phase where students develop the necessary skills to become independent with the kite. Time 2 hours.
Water Start / Lesson 3
After Lessons 1 & 2 or demonstrating your current skill level, you'll launch your kite and hit the water with the board. You will practice water starts (dry) this will help you visualize what to do in the water. Feedback from instructors allows students to maximize their time on the water in this course. To become proficient as a Beginner Kiteboarder you might require more than a 2-day lesson. It takes time to master all the aspects of the course and getting up on a kiteboard could take 3 days of lessons. Time 4 hours.
Intermediate
Staying Upwind / Lesson 4
Take full advantage of the instructors' experience to get you riding upwind. With the right gear selection for your level and conditions, and with feedback from your instructor, you will maximize your time on the water. Time 3 hours.
